December 25, 2009I would like to extend my warmest greeting to you, the prestigious leaders of Tae Kwon Do.
It is my great privilege and honor that I extend to you, my personal invitation, to participate in the 8th Annual 2010 Golden Gate Open Tae Kwon Do Championship. With your participation, this event has every potential to be a great success.
The sport of Tae Kwon Do has grown very popular over the past few decades. Through tournament competition, Tae Kwon Do students have the opportunity for excelling in Martial Arts. Tournament competition, although not mandatory for Tae Kwon Do students, provides an opportunity for learning and experience. It promotes competitive energy, technical development and social interaction between participants.
Tae Kwon Do is not just a sport. It teaches a philosophy of honor, respect and contemplation of life's mysteries.
I hope that all of our participants will have a positive and memorable experience at this tournament and will continue to grow and promote Tae Kwon Do in the future.
Thank you,
Grand Master Jea S. Kim
